Artum
Interior design studio, B2C
Artum creates full interior design and renovation projects and works in the premium segment. At the same time, the current website did not meet the expectations of this audience, so the task was to redesign it. Before that, we had already tested different hypotheses on landing pages and transferred the conclusions to the main website. The existing structure was a limitation: the redesign affected only part of the sections.

Project Description
Information gathering and solution search stage
UX audit, collection of technical and business requirements, competitor analysis, and benchmarking.
Goal
Identify key issues in UX and the visual language and find the right visual solutions within the existing limits.
What was done
UX analysis showed problems with system consistency: the same elements looked and worked differently on different pages. Many interactive elements did not give users clear feedback. Problems with navigation and the mobile version of the site were also found.
Competitor analysis helped identify missing blocks important for this segment.
As a result, we agreed on a visual concept and approved steps for improving UX and content.
Prototype and UI kit development stage
Detailed prototypes of the main pages, a UI kit, and guides for assembling block components.
Goal
Describe shared behavior principles for both separate components and large blocks, and show how they are used on the current pages of the site.
What was done
The main problem of the site was the lack of consistency in interaction and perception. So the work started with creating a UI kit and guides for block layout. Since many pages are assembled without a designer, it was important to document general principles and rules.
As a result, I prepared detailed page prototypes based on the approved visual style, marketing content requirements, and the created UI kit.
Preparation of layouts
Development of responsive versions, description of interaction scenarios, and handoff of layouts to development.
Goal
Create convenient solutions for mobile devices and clearly describe how the site works.
What was done
Weak responsive design noticeably reduced the efficiency of mobile traffic. The new layouts included descriptions of element behavior on all devices, as well as a redesigned mobile menu.
The new mobile version showed good results in key metrics:
+12.2%
time on site
+5.1%
pages per session
-12.4%
bounce rate
Testing stage
Review of the front-end implementation and site behavior.
Goal
Control the implementation and check how the developed principles work in practice.
What was done
The review showed several repeated front-end mistakes. After discussing them with the development team, I clarified the rules for working with headings and spacing.
As a result, the number of mistakes in new layouts went down.
Results
The main project goals were achieved: a new visual style was developed, the website became more unified and consistent, and the mobile version was redesigned.
Further work included creating new pages for marketing tasks.
+9.3%
time on site
+11.8%
pages per session
-4.1%
pages per session
+1.4%
lead conversion
